KICKING OFF THE 2022 SEASON WITH THE RUNAWAYS

The Runaways (T109A’s) are frequent visitors to the waters in Clayoquot Sound. On Monday (Family Day) in the late afternoon we heard over the radio there were Bigg’s Killer Whales sighted in the Tofino Harbour. We set out in the Nitinat down Browning Passage and picked up the T109A’s and T109B’s in Browning Passage. The sun was going to set and light was limited so John and I watched them for a bit and took some ID photos. It was a pleasure to cap off family day with the matriarch T109A and her ever growing family.
